Professor Oak is the top Pokemon researcher in the world. As Ash's mentor, he supports Ash's endeavor to become the world's greatest Pokemon master and gave Ash his first Pokemon – Pikachu. In the Orange Islands, Professor Oak helps Ash, Tracey and Misty during their journeys. Tracey idolizes the professor, on consideration that Professor Oak is not only the top Pokemon researcher, but also the top Pokemon watcher!
