Bulbasaur and the Hidden Village

The gang continues to wander through the forest, lost, until they arrive at a Pokemon sanctuary where lost or abandoned Pokemon can heal. There, the group meets Melanie, the caretaker. Team Rocket makes its way into the village, and only the combined forces of Melanie's protective Bulbasaur and our heroes can drive the Pokemon thieves away. Afterwards, Pikachu wins a battle with Bulbasaur, and Ash leaves the forest with a new companion — Bulbasaur is at his side.
