Back on Shamouti Island, our heroes disembark from their boat, only to find themselves surrounded by fearsome-looking natives wearing strange masks. Much to their relief, the natives turn out to be friendly — they're just normal folks wearing disguises for their annual island festival. Maren, the ship's Captain, knows one of the natives, Carol, who merrily welcomes the group to the island.
